The best thing you can do as an aspiring, or even well known, writer is to get involved with other creative people. Join online and offline groups, even a message board or a writers’ chat can provide the inspiration you need to keep writing.

Got a niche?

If you write about a specific subject try finding writers’ groups at your local library or online groups that share your interest. Joining online creative writing groups is the best way to network with other writers and published authors and can lead to you getting your work published too.

Need some feedback?

Creative groups, whether online or not, are great places to share your work and receive feedback. Plus you can share your fiction anonymously, so you don’t have to feel shy when you pull out your latest manuscript and you think it sucks.

Don’t get stale!

Creative writing groups are the best cure for a stagnant mind. If you find your creativity tapped, join and online community where you can get the support you need to keep writing fiction.
