I still don’t understand the ending to this story.

The story is about a working mother and the way a working mother has to cope with the everyday. In the end her car needs to be fixed and obviously she couldn’t afford the bill only working 28 hour weeks and most likely making very minimal earnings.

This story struck a cord with me. It hearkens to the old saying, “Figure it out.” This is the life and motto of a single parent. Everyday is a struggle, a constant challenge, but the only option is to deal and “figure it out.”

Things that may not be a problem to those who have money can become a cyclic nightmare to those who don’t.

Something we should all keep in mind (especially considering the times we’re in).

Very well portrayed, a perfect example of showing versus telling.

      Keep writing,

I liked the descriptive tone it takes. It’s effectively done considering it’s a short story; probably that is what impresses in this realistic narrative-style technique.

      Good work.
