    “There he was, an enormous, shaggy, grease-covered beast with straggly tangled fur that looked like the Rasta locks on a panhandling kid in the town square in Berkeley. He had teeth that would put a shark to shame. They were probably regularly honed on human bones. His glittering yellow eyes were red-rimmed and he looked like he could drink battery acid and enjoy it.”

    Great use of metaphor. Your description is exquisite. Would have liked more of this in the scene where the woman barks back.
