I thought it meandered for a while, but then the story structure put it in perspective. It was a disturbing read, as it’s meant to be.

The writer gets well into the minds of the characters and you can feel their jagged lives troubling you even after finishing the story.

Too many ‘I’s, unless deliberate, then do forgive.

I felt the use, or overuse, of “I” deliberate and that it contributes to the narrator’s character as narcissistic.

It’s always possible that I am giving the writer more credit than due, but I feel we tend to take on our narrator’s character in order to write as realistically as possible from the narrator’s perspective. We have to think as they would and the usage of “I” may have come naturally. Either way, well done.

I am sure Sandra will appreciate the feedback.

Thanks for reading and sharing your perspective,
    The Editor
