Check the forums and get the information you need to publish, write, or even just find something new to read. If you don’t see what your looking for introduce a new topic and get talking!
You should almost always include a cover letter describing who you are and your writing qualifications. Just as with any job you are applying for, you need the cover letter to sell your skills. Use it to your advantage and don’t be afraid to talk yourself up. Some publishers require a query letter describing your manuscript. Get over to the query letter forum and find out how to write one.

I have two short story manuscripts I want to send out. Do I include a coverletter?
