Well, that’s for you to decide in this flash fiction prompt. But you better hurry, you’ve only got 60 seconds.

The 60 second drill:

Take 60 seconds and list items you would find in a jail. Once the 60 seconds is up, write a story that includes all of the words in your list, but doesn’t take place in a jail or prison of any kind. The story should take place in an old farmhouse kitchen in Tennessee. The narrator can be a man, woman, child, whatever… make it a bird if you like. The rest is up to you.
